There are many reasons to watch this series. And in principle, I have enough of those reasons.
1. The charming Kiernan Shipka. I am not talking about the level of acting here, in principle it is enough for her to play a little better than a stool for me to watch it.
2. Some actors of a decent level. Very good aunts - characters are written qualitatively and played perfectly.
3. Cute visual style - the picture is basically pleasant
4. There are interesting ideas in the plot - most of all liked the series about the demon of sleep, as well as about the mandrake.
Unfortunately, there are more failures here and they are more significant.
1. All the other actors are just talking with their mouths.
2. The unbearable agenda sewn to the series by the white threads of the SGV - all these school clubs for women's rights, black gays, transgender people, etc. I would tolerate this if it was competently interwoven into the plot of necessity, but this is absolutely foreign nonsense, and when the 10 minutes of SGV of delirium begins, you just sit in the pose of a knave and wait for it to end.
3. Absolutely pointless and unnecessary friends of Sabrina. They do amazingly counterintuitive things, not interesting to watch. The authors of the series are struggling to come up with at least some sense of their existence, but it turns out very badly.
4. The difference between the significance of the events being demonstrated and what we actually see on the screen. Through one series in the series save the world from terrible evil, there is a struggle of our world with the afterlife, choose the rulers of hell, etc. What do we see? The pathetic movement of a dozen characters between three locations. This does not convey the epic of the moment.
5. The universe of the series is completely undeveloped, contradictory, you simply do not believe it. Laps and plot holes in excess.
6. From season to season, all these disadvantages only progress.
I’m still watching the show, mostly for #1.
