Instead of sausages, there may well be a vegan diet imposed on New Yorkers by two mayors in a row. In general, it is a film about reflashing cultural codes under the guise of liberalism. Sausagesman Edward is openly, verbally, building his business on anti-Christian ideology, because Christianity explicitly prohibits the consumption of blood, in particular, in the form of blood sausage. The film, of course, in the genre of comedy, but it operates with quite serious ideologemes, replaces the essence of things: the protection of tradition is presented as aggression, and intolerance to tradition - as an element of cultural diversity. Such a harsh Danish comedy with poisoned sausages and the same poisonous speeches described in Hamlet.
