Of course, this is primarily a film about a successful businessman, whose acquaintance with the fate of the young man Misha, who left a volunteer for the front of the Great Patriotic War from an Armenian village, makes you think about what he did not think about before - about the sacrifices that were given the victory, about love that overcomes time and distance, about something more real than his current life. But this film, more importantly, reveals what the memory of the Victory is now turning into – partying in the dachas, singing and listening to military songs as if it were some kind of chanson in a tavern. This perversion clearly shows that the day of victory alone is not enough, not only to unite the people, but even to preserve the memory. You cannot take the victorious shell and leave behind the values and ideas of the people who made this victory possible. The Communist Misha and the faithful nurse of the Light – if you throw away the values of these people, you spit on victory. You can scold their values, but then your “celebration” of victory will be the annual betrayal of millions who have laid down their souls for their friends.
