A woman's truth, it is true As always, it was lazy to write a review, but could not resist reading some strangers... frankly, male opuses. How amazing is the ability of people to get lost in three pines! I hope the main reason is that action fans simply squandered most of the film to see the promised duel. Or their own beliefs are so firmly embedded in their minds that they do not even allow the idea of disagreement with them authors.
In fact, cinema only seems complex and ambiguous at first, because of its structure. There are really three completely different points of view, and the same scenes in the three parts are presented in completely different ways. Only a very inattentive person can fail to notice - or, again, looking in a quick rewind. But the thing is, the first two 'truth' are the truths of the blind! Just look at the title of the third part to make it clear. The film is simple, unambiguous, and the main idea of it, in modern times, is absolutely banal, although correct. To be honest, I expected otherwise. However, every time I am convinced that many people still need to chew and chew the truisms. In the West, they have already chewed and chewed, so there will be no questions for men there after "Dueli" & #39; In women – especially because cinema is female, like the novels of Philippa Gregory and her countless followers. I understand the disappointment of Ridley Scott’s fans, but this is the time. And do not expect a large number of battle scenes from a female film - here the emphasis is on drama. Each character gets their share of empathy, but by the end it becomes obvious who deserves it the most, and no choice is given to the viewer here - although, of course, you are always free to have compassion for the villains. I must say, I had no doubts about the key scene after the second part, despite the distorted perception of its protagonist (I will not go into details to avoid spoilers). But when the same scene is shown through the eyes of the heroine... what other options are left?
I did not like everything in the presentation of the story, there is a certain patchiness - even in the first part there is no smooth transition from one scene to another, and then, so that there were no repetitions, the film & #39; jumps & #39; even stronger. The friendship of the main characters, which is mentioned, is not shown at all. But in general, the cinema, of course, exciting, the play of actors at a height, and the atmosphere of the Middle Ages is created, although here you will not see a particularly wide panorama. The uninitiated will understand nothing of Charles VI. Well, this song is not about him.
I recommend to viewers, as well as those male viewers who have ceased to be medieval knights in the worst sense of the word and at the same time are not too entangled in the networks (no longer the most) of modern ' ambiguities'.
