when a fairy tale outgrows history and becomes true ... The beginning of the series was too mundane, too implausible, too fabulous. I watched with a great degree of irony and thought about dropping the viewing after Episode 2. It was left because of a number of great actors who starred in the series. First of all, these are excellent acting works by A. Baluev, M. Averin, Y. Tsapnik, D. Kulichkov, Y. Chursin, A. Bukharova, M. Petrenko, A. Korshunov, A. Finyagin, N. Tarasov, S. Barkovsky, N. Manets, D. Milyutina, Y. Elagina, N. Parashkina, A. Shevchenkova, D. Sutyrin. ..
But with Series 3, gradually, the series ceased to be a colorful market fairy tale, and became almost a real historical truth, of course, with many caveats that for me had no decisive significance. I also liked the end of the film, although it turned out to be quite fabulous again, but now I really wanted a fairy tale - too much I began to empathize with the main characters and central characters of the film.
I want to especially note the brilliant acting work of S. Ivanova, S. Marin, A. Bardukov, A. Ilyin Jr., P. Chernyshova, A. Vertkova, S. Evstigneeva, Yu. Snigir ... Their performance was indescribable, in the best traditions of the old acting Russian school - when the character is believed immediately and unconditionally. The game is light, subtle and accurate, which was completely invisible even in large and broad strokes of a given plot and the general atmosphere of the picture, so you unwittingly penetrate it, absorb the smallest touches to the portrait of the character, grow into the canvas of the story told.
In general, the series caused a whole range of emotions and experiences from sympathy with the main characters to the desire to cry at the very end (although I am not sentimental at all), because the series was able to touch the most delicate and sensitive strings of the soul associated with homeland, faith and resilience in life circumstances, which are abundantly enough for each of us and in ordinary life. . .
It's a good show. Without excessive pathos, without excessive pathologies, a little fabulous and kind, although there is enough blood there. The fairy tale outgrown the historical basis and became a fable-bull...
Thank you to all the creators, authors and actors!!
Maybe I'll even reconsider sometime. In any case, I will do it with interest - there is something to think about again, despite some excessive use of clichés and historical cliches.

I would like to especially note the work of the costume designer - outfits and hairstyles were made at the highest level! Watching and enjoying! Bravo!
