Marina Petrenko is a Russian and Ukrainian actress. Marina Vasilievna was born in 1987 in Simferopol in the Crimean region. The girl made her film debut at the age of 13. It was a scandalous film by Yuri Ilyenko called “Prayer for Hetman Mazepa”. The film was shown at the Berlin Film Festival, where it was recognized as a “film for sexual minorities” and “a film that incites ethnic hatred”. In November 2011, Petrenko became a participant of the youth film festival “Rejection”. She was a member of the jury along with Emmanuel Vitorgan and Alla Surikova.
