The drama is based on real events.
A Russian girl born in 1991 with her family emigrated from the USSR to Germany. Since adolescence, she was fond of glossy magazines and dreamed of a luxurious life in America. Her family annoyed her, and Anna left for the United States at the age of 25. Her innate propensity for adventurism and assertiveness allowed her to infiltrate the highest business elite of New York.
She managed to convince money-hungry bigwigs through machinations and manipulations in her project to create a palace of arts that would provide the richest people with all possible and impossible pleasures from restaurants, recreation areas, modern art galleries and much more.
The most amazing thing is that Anna enjoyed luxurious restaurants and hotels, resorts, carried her friends with her and did not pay for anything. I made it so someone would pay.
But the scammer got caught and was convicted.
Watching the development of the plot was interesting, but the atmosphere of the film is somewhat prolonged. In addition, the series was not lucky with the choice of actors for the main characters. Anna is played by Julia Gargner (Ozark). I started watching for her. And the investigative journalist is Anna Klamsky. If Garner is unconvincing in her role, then Klamsky has an unpleasant facial expression, and she gazes at her eyes.
In my opinion, this is a pure series for a female audience. A lot of glamour, female rivalry, intrigue and even betrayal.
