Original story, but not original motive.
I'm talking about the main character problem (GG). The same theme of memory loss in the film Flashback with Nisson (2022).
A professional killer (Michael Keaton) is rapidly losing his memory. It's not Alzheimer's. This (according to the neurologist) is worse: it is a rare case of dementia. GG is going to stop working and move to a nursing home. Because of his specialty, he lost his son and wife many years ago, and the other day during the “performance of duties” he did things: he killed not only the victim, but also his mistress, as well as his partner. He staged the episode so that all three killed themselves with a single pistol that was placed in the hand of the designated victim.
This is the first 15 minutes of the film in almost 2 hours.
And in the same days it happened that the son of GG hero kills the lover of his underage daughter and comes to the hated father for help: Dad, what should I do? And Dad comes up with a clever plan that he writes down in his notebook.
Not relying on his memory, he tells a friend (Al Pacino), who is in his 90s, and he (in our opinion) is a thief in law, to remind him on his mobile phone about the sequence of actions.
I watched the film with a lot of tension in the process and was even more satisfied with the finale.
I have been following Keaton since 1989 (Batman). This is the second film he has made himself.
