Great Patriotic War, the winter of 1941. Food supplies dried up and supplies were blocked. Besieged Leningrad was dying of hunger: a day employees, dependents and children were given 125 grams of bread. It was then that a gang appeared in the city, trading in fraud and robbery. The criminals were mainly engaged in counterfeiting food cards. The name of their gang - "ZIG ZAG" - stands for "Defenders of German interests - Banner of Adolf Hitler".
