I must say that the series was not very interesting at first. The first two episodes frankly sag – it’s not about the notorious “threshold of entry”, just they are really weak. Slips stupid toilet humor, the characters behave predictably. But then the series gets "accelerated" - and it becomes a pity that it is so short. After all, the “bonus” second mini-season is even steeper than the original – but it does have four episodes!
Personally, I was somewhat disorientated by what I heard about "The Wrong Guys" as something like Edgar Wright's comedies. I was disappointed at first not to see Wright’s buffoonery, the sudden wild jumps of the plot, the absurdist black humor. This series is more like the “Chinese city” I watched as a child – not about cops, but about “criminals”. That is, humor is presented in a relatively realistic wrapper, and situations, although wild, do not contradict the laws of all sciences.
What else can I add? The actors are good, the plot is interesting, the humor is very successful. Of the secondary characters for some reason remembered Russian mafia Marat and the local “James bond”. As for the point, he's definitely here. This is a story about the fact that difficulties do not always break people, but often on the contrary, educate them. And those who find faith in themselves, adventures will only temper, help to reveal abilities that are not in demand in ordinary life. There’s nothing more to add, you have to watch.
Result: a good adventure-criminal-comedy series. Not devoid of even a certain psychologicalism - it is interesting to watch how the characters change for the second season, having experienced many extreme situations. I can not call the perfect work “The Wrong Guys” – the quality of humor and originality of the plot moves in the initial series leave much to be desired. But watching the series is definitely worth it. 8 out of 10
