Just watched the last season 6. I must say that the story about the best lawyer in the world impressed me even more than the adventures of a chemistry teacher on the verge of survival. The arc of the lawyer’s character is so competently built and inscribed in all other plot twists and turns that the fictional world of two series becomes real, affects feelings and awakens the deepest experiences. I watch a variety of films, almost all genres, but such a powerful dramaturgy and strong plot for so many series, in my opinion, no one else can boast. .
Six years before Saul Goodman meets Walter White. We meet him when the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and, often, against Jimmy, is “fixer” Mike Ehrmantraut. The series tracks Jimmy’s transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts “criminal” in “criminal lawyer".
Great game. Good script. More mature and realistic than "Breaking Bad". Exemplary camera work. Every frame is like a picture. Unspeakable pleasure watching.
I was only interested in moments related to trials and tricks of lawyers. I didn’t like the lack of positive characters. Even the main characters, who probably should cause sympathy and understanding, cause dislike by their immoral actions. There is an unpleasant residue after watching.
