Everyone is aware of the multiculturalism that is now observed in Europe, in particular in France – more and more immigrants are flooding European cities, some strongly object to this, some are tolerant. Compared to other countries in old Europe, France has the highest percentage of intermarriages, around 20%, while the rest of Europe has a much lower percentage. It was this circumstance that prompted the French director Philip de Chovron to shoot the comedy, which in the Russian box office is called “Mad Wedding”, he brought this situation almost to the absurd, but ended with a total happy ending. The family of a provincial French notary grew up four daughters, whom he once sent to study in Paris. It was there that they apparently got all sorts of ideas, which allowed one of them to choose an Arab husband, the second a Jew, the third a Chinese man, and the youngest one distinguished herself by choosing an African husband. Moreover, the notary himself was not particularly Eurotolerant, but his wife eventually penetrated it, recovering from the depression in which she initially fell. The comedy is funny in some places, albeit uneven, with some satirical notes (which is only worth playing over the cliches of behavior of all heroes, both national and gender), leading viewers to the idea that it is now impossible to do nothing about it, except to relax and learn to enjoy and enjoy life. I consider such a path to be more constructive than the widespread enmity and rabidity that have flourished in recent times. So let's go to tolerance!
She was surprised to find that the film was not shown at the box office in Britain (it was shown only at the festival of Jewish films) and the United States as racist (!) and too politically incorrect for the audience of these countries: “A popular French film about Catholic parents whose daughters marry representatives of other religions will not reach the UK, because viewers will never allow themselves to laugh at blacks, Jews or Asians.” These are the freedoms.
