He doesn't know how to scare me Steven Spielberg – for any moviegoer, these two words already say something. I personally didn’t expect anything from the picture and it’s not surprising. Sadly, I haven’t seen the previous movie that made this remake happen. But that didn’t stop me from sitting down and starting to watch.
It’s hard to call it a horror movie, I didn’t see anything. Did someone try to scare me with a clown? I laughed like crazy about it. Screeners? No, that's definitely not gonna happen here. Well, don't bother you, gentlemen, this is a terrible tale for children, but nothing more. If you are a fan of this genre, think twice before killing the next hour and a half to watch this movie. I'm serious, I'd put an 8+ rating here. You will not see blood and violence here, erotic scenes too.
"PG-13" - oh don't make me laugh. Now a little bit about actors. Kyle Catlett was chosen for the role of the boy. That's why he should spoil his acting career, maybe he would have played decently, but I won't say anything. To the rest in principle there are no complaints, somehow not realistic, I did not believe. I don't believe it!
The only thing that really pleased me was the other world. I'd leave a huge spoiler here, but I'll hold back. I'll even overestimate it a little bit.
In general, for a person who is quite familiar with this genre, this is an ordinary passer. If you want to kill time, this movie might work, but nothing more. Totally my assessment:
