The poem “The Night Before Christmas” by Clement Moore is a work of amazing fate. Appeared in 1822, the poem about the good St. Nicholas, arriving on a reindeer sled and penetrating the house through a pipe to leave gifts in socks hung above the fireplace, turned the ideas of contemporaries about Santa Claus. Never before had he appeared in such a cheerful and good-natured image of a wizard. Since then, the poem “The Night Before Christmas” has become so in the tradition of celebrating Christmas that to this day its reading is very common in America on Christmas days.
Drunk History Christmas presents its comic version of this popular poem. The main character, having a good drink of whiskey, begins to recite lines from the work, and famous Hollywood actors Eva Mendes help him in this, Jim Carrie, Ryan Gosling. close
