Kings, car! A curious and non-trivial animated film about the complete brutality of metal and a steampancing universe of an alternative modern civilization.
A good and unbeaten rendering, which made me remember the “Trio from Belleville” if not by the very technique, then by its non-banality, with a very high-quality detailing and thoughtfulness of the world, a funny plot with the secret leadership of the reptilians and a funny and rather recognizable family pair of main reptiles with all the ideological and behavioral differences inherent in family couples, the absence of the main character’s glossy beauty that has become notorious. Not to say that very original idea of the authors, but it is interesting to see. Plus, I was pleased to mention the Queen in the movie. If this is not the tricks of voice acting, then the authors remember not only “their own”.
The disadvantages would include some predictability of what is happening, which is most likely due to the desire of the authors to make the picture more accessible to the mass consumer.
In general, we can safely say that we would like more such cartoons in contrast to the celluloid nature of the vast majority of modern feature animation.
