El ciudadano ilustre, 2015, directed by Argentinian directors Gaston Dupra and Mariano Cohn, starring Oscar Martinez, whom we remember from the film Wild Stories, made a strong impression on me. Argentine writer Daniel Mantovani, who left his small town 40 years ago and settled in Spain, receives the Nobel Prize for literature, which he sees as the end of his writing career. After that, as usual, a huge number of all kinds of events fall on him, in which he is forced to take part, from which he invariably evades, when suddenly he receives an invitation from his hometown of Salas, habitually rejecting him, he suddenly changes his decision and goes there. At first, everything goes as he expected - the awarding of the honorary citizen's medal, a lecture, meetings, etc., but then events take on a completely different character. Interesting ending. The film is a sample of a real smart movie, unbeaten, with very interesting characters, performed by interesting actors. I recommend it.
