I’m not going to be a pioneer of America by saying that there are different movies. Usually, I think, we watch movies to make up for what we’re missing – we watch movies about countries we’ll never visit, about the all-conquering love we lack, rejoice in the bright colors and beautiful scenery that are so lacking in our gray city, look for the thrill of watching horror movies. It's not like that. He does not give us any of the good things we want. It shows what we see almost every day, what we already want to hide from, run away from, force it out of our lives. At least I did. One can understand those people who say that everything is exaggerated and abundantly watered with mud that does not exist in reality, and that they have never encountered such a thing. Then they will be even more disgusted to look at all this. I was curious. It is interesting because only in this series are real, multifaceted people shown. None of them can be described as either good or bad. Yes, the boy smokes, drinks and rude teachers, but at the same time he loves his mother very much and is ready to do anything for her. What wonderful grandparents are! Here are these “I knitted your sweaters”, “What do you not eat”, etc., etc.! And teachers! Rusichka shouting in the minibus: “Stop at the stop!” and claiming that it is correct to say “money” is so wonderful and cute! The same people are all around, not just in school, in any field. But again, I cannot call Murzenko a negative character. She is good in her own way, kind – she takes care of her students, protects them before commissions. That's for the fact that the series shows real people, with all their advantages and disadvantages, that's why I thank him very much. I have never seen such truthful characters in any film, they are usually rather one-sidedly drawn.
Someone said that everyone is so bad, but where are the winners of the Olympics, where are the good kids, etc. Should there be geniuses in every class? Here's a pretty smart girl, Vera, only she doesn't have the ability to do math, she wants to learn English. And the same Epifanov is far from stupid, he simply has no desire to learn. In general, in a good way, we were not really told who is studying for what grades, so it is difficult to talk about academic performance.
Negative. I would agree that young children should not watch this, for them it can really be a bad example. But the fact that the series was in prime time is not the fault of the series itself.
I have nothing against a shaking handheld camera, it did not bother me at all, except that in a couple of moments it was not too clear what happened. And I would throw out too frank moments like a physical in front of the window or numerous scenes of going to the toilet.
After all, a good movie still wants some learning. Here, in principle, it is not observed: parents’ attempts to talk to children are taken by them in bayonets, teenagers do not perceive teachers at all. But, perhaps, some of the teenagers, watching the series, still think about the next time before poisoning any of the classmates; and gloomy boys and girls obsessed with the idea of suicide, will feel sorry for their relatives and try to somehow cope with a difficult period in life.
For some reason, many believe that this series automatically ranks all teenagers as degenerates and missing people. I don't think that's true. They’re just that old, and hopefully they’ll outgrow that period. Perhaps someone will not outgrow, and will remain a degenerate, but what to do. I liked the series for the fact that it is vital, and in life and adult degenerates, unfortunately, enough. However, by the end of the series, I think there are already positive developments. In this regard, the conversation of the chemist with the old Nosovs is very indicative:
- Yes, I used to be the same, even indulged in drugs.
- Oh, I'm so afraid of these drugs. What happened to you that you became such a good person?
- I don't know. Grew up. Other interests have emerged.
I may be too naive, but for some reason I think the last few episodes are hinting that when all these people grow up, they will have different interests. If not for everyone, at least for some.
