How to live in a party committee. Sid Vicious died in front of you.
Ian Curtis died in front of you.
Jim Morrison died in front of you.
You are the same as you were.
...
There are only two options for honest people:
Take a gun and kill everyone in a row.
Or to kill oneself, oneself, oneself.
If you take this world seriously,

I watched Arthur Corbijn's "Control." The film is based on the memoirs of Deby Curtis, which, in particular, describe the life of her husband Ian. Ian Curtis is a legendary figure: he and his band Joy Division rethinked the basic currents of punk music of the late 70s, ahead of the logical course of history by a fifth of years. The film is good, and is the debut work of an elderly, but famous Dutch photographer. This justifies a static camera, a monochrome picture, and just tons of excellent shots.
The film begins in the town of Macallsfield, near Manchester. The director goes out of his way to show Ian out of this world: like, look how complicated and incomprehensible he is. Here Ian and in the chemical formulas of glucose is looking for meaning, and refuses to live without the music of David Bowie, and smokes like a locomotive, and wears a jacket with the inscription “HATE”, and experiments with wheels that he steals from old people (hello, Chuck Palahniuk!) and, in general, looking at this frame, I want to believe in the divine origin of any person who somehow got into the history books. In fact, Ian was a man with his own problems, and if you consider that his death was unauthorized and fell on the 24th year of life, then we are first of all a young man, and not smelling gunpowder. In my not entirely authoritative opinion, this is the only mistake of the director.
Everything else in one way or another describes Ian’s life, which is available to everyone and in any form. Sex Pistols, George Best, Clash, Tony Wilson, Rob Gretton – these are not just indirect or direct characters in the film, but a whole story that I personally have a sacred awe. Curtis' short life had it all: endless depressions, confusion, fame, dizziness from success, dreams, dreams, dreams - that Ian was so like me that I was for a moment scared. But he died and no one can tell him the way in life - there is only great music that everyone should listen to at least from the corner of his ear.
I watched the film in excellent quality in translation. The interpreter was in solo mode, so there was one less cause for irritation. The film is rich in English humor, which is not always translated. Here’s an amazing quote from the movie: “What did you do?” Ian replies, "I get married." I can't translate into Russian, but the meaning is clear. In addition, two best friends must be enemies - Rob is a United fan and Curtis is rooting for City. Burning brunette Anique turned out to be Belgian, which also drove me to colic. Oh, yeah, there's an Asian girl performing under Joy Division, surrounded by four skinheads.
By the way, the girls in the movie are pretty.
The film is good – I recommend it to everyone. If you like movies that have a lot of first-rate stars and special effects, then think carefully before inserting the disc into the drive - there is nothing like this in the film. In the film, everything is different: the actors are almost debutants, the film is static, the dialogue was composed for more than one day.
In short, I liked it, idiots were not noticed.
