Not found an amateur, on your kulebyaku Having come across a couple of times an advertisement for the “first Russian musical cartoon”, my desire to see this creation was almost equal to zero. And it is quite natural that I was not going to spend money on it or download from the Internet, but it so happened that I got an excellent quality cartoon, so I could not restrain myself.
Well, my favorite theme, the script, is probably not in this picture. More precisely, I would say so, the script was, but lost in the process of filming and the cartoon was made from memory. Also, it seems that the creators just came to work, shared their dreams with each other and some of this embodied on the screen, at least what I saw was as absurd, illogical, confused and hallucinogenic as my dreams. The overall storyline, if any, has a permanent place in the cartoon (which I personally strongly doubt), is simple as five pennies, so immediately after the tie is lost from view and only pops up in certain places during the film, the last time was seen 10 minutes before the credits, before the “terrible family secrets” began to be revealed. All the rest of the time on the screen takes a frank joke of heroes, yes songs.
A separate article is the characters. As for me, they were all cardboards to the bone, if only because the creators out of leather climbed to avoid making their offspring trim. We will not see anything new.
Alyonushka is a naive fool who believes in love at first sight, although her dedication can be envied. Herema is a “creative” lazy person who, I think, doesn’t care about anything but his music. Princess Vseslava, who thinks, as for me, as the most sane person in this Kotovasia is a limited and willful design engineer, a true princess.
There is nothing to say about King Dormidon. Aunt Efrosinha, apparently, the ideological sage of the project is a passing character who knows everything, but for some reason is absolutely passive in emergency situations. To say anything about the superstar Shah and his Cyclops astronomers, I think, is not worth it, as well as the overly motor German knight. Perhaps, at least some feelings are caused by the Hedgehog, (but I can again upset, this is not a laugh, which, apparently, the creators assumed) if he was not so openly similar to his namesake from “Hedgehog in the Fog”, then a separate cartoon about him, knowing our audience, would go to “hurrah!”.
Well, it's time to say a few words about the picture. Knowing what Russian animated films were in 2-D, that is, a trilogy about epic heroes, we can safely say that the director wanted to do something completely different, maybe even unique, he succeeded, but this is good. As far as I know, this is the first major project in 3-D and I can safely say that it would be better for our animators to hone their already acquired skills. I have not seen such, I will not be afraid of this word, clumsy graphics since the games of the year like 2000, and then, not all of them were so “beautiful”.
Moving objects, to them you can count heroes, made hastily and look ugly, for example, my mother was afraid of the “beautiful horse of good fellow Erema” and I can say that this fear was quite justified, this spotted clumsy creature, as for me, could cause either fear or disgust. All the characters are angular and straightforward, and even the main characters do not stand out against the background of the grizzling screen. In addition, several times asked the question, was it so difficult to voice and facial expressions of the characters when talking at least a little synchronized. It is not worth talking about the background, as for me, they forgot about it.
Speaking of a musical cartoon, I think it would be a crime not to mention music and songs. With the exception of already known melodies, the soundtrack is written in the best traditions of our domestic show business, so we will listen to both pop-lyrical howls about Alena and love, and rap motifs, oddly enough, about pop-lyrical howls. As for me, such a musical accompaniment will appeal to either young people or beginners and too inexperienced music lovers.
The lyrics are not happy at all, it feels like they were used as a bagpipe - to last the film at least 90 minutes, as those simple words, desperately repeated many times. Another point that I would like to note is the choreography during the song numbers, such a variety of all sorts of body movements was clearly invented by no one person, since it is not rare that the characters simply rushed to extremes.
Voiceover is an important element of the cartoon. Well, I can say that in this aspect, the picture does not look so poor, if you throw out excessive effort when voicing overseas heroes, and add a little intonation to the rest, at least for some liveliness, it would be better.
Conclusion ... in principle, after viewing this creation, I made for myself a fairly large number of conclusions, both new and confirmation already known.
First, do not chase fashion, you need to make it with your own hands. Secondly, it would be better to have a flat image that evokes emotions of at least some volume than a three-dimensional image, flat in its essence. Thirdly, do not make an idol of yourself – people will not understand, this expression refers to Anton Makarsky, who clearly agreed with the powerful and placed in the cartoon as self-promotion pieces of already known songs in his performance, apparently, under the slogan “but what else can I!”. Fourth, such creations are better to watch in the company, to at least a little distraction from the screen, parodying Renata Litvinova, it will be easier to take this huge dose of nonsense, and laughing at the creators and quality of the film alone is not so pleasant.
I want to put the lowest rating, but still I will not, at least for a little spitting, as it seemed to me, attitude to the animated film Litvinova and “Psych!” performed by Hedgehog.
