Victims are delighted with the spectacle. The film loses to the original 1951. Although when I heard that I was playing Klaatu Keanu Reeves, I expected more from the film. Namely: beautiful science social fiction with a colorful figure like Neo. However, the meaning of the film is mired in tons of sometimes meaningless, inappropriate and surprisingly not spectacular visual picture. The filmmakers, trying to use the resources of modern computer graphics at full capacity, in places began to lose the meaning of the narrative of the work, simply forgetting about it, enthusiastically drawing their imaginary world. Keanu Reeves also forgot he was Klaatu. Throughout the film, we have the opportunity to watch the updated Neo from The Matrix. Take at least the episode with the lie detector (which Keanu invented) and the escape from prison. Here we will not remember that we are watching the movie “The Day When...” and not the series “The Matrix”. Identity is complete. Also, the tape is overloaded with standard clichés (conversations of the military, mother-son conversations) designed to fill the viewing time. Knowing the original, it is difficult to view this "stuffing".
The film is simplified by special effects, the philosophical meaning of the work is lost and the intellectual film becomes simply spectacular.
