Today I was looking through my “deposits” of films and came across one such small Norwegian film “My Jealous Barber” / Min misunnelige frisør, directed by an unknown to me Annette Sørsen, but all the actors who played the main roles, I know, saw them in several films. The film, in general, is about the universal - about loneliness, about loyalty, about those human qualities and habits with which people frame their lives and which eventually begin to simply prevent them from living. The main character Bent Samuelson for ten years haircut at the same hairdresser, leads a rather boring existence, working in a hospital morgue, alone. One day his father dies, and then a series of small events occur that first force him to abandon his old habits, and then he finds the strength and courage to change his whole life. I liked the movie even though there is nothing special about it. And all this is shown without any tears, and in some quiet comic key.
