A riot of colors, graphonium, bright landscapes, strong music, everything is very expensive and beautiful. A movie for the eyes, chasing the standards of Avatar and Marvel. But the graphics did not surprise anyone in the year of the release of this kinz. Where are the eternal values? Where's the art? The film has a primitive plot, no idea of its own, unwritten characters, bad actors, they have nothing to play here. For the whole film, nothing was said that would be like a thought, you could just put music for 2 hours instead of words - the plot would not lose anything, just as hangars, cities and oceans would sparkle with expanses, lasers would shine, monsters would roar. . .
- At the beginning, a shortened plot of Godzilla, Evangelion and the Mighty Rangers is voiced, signing off on their inability to convey this information through the film itself.
- Vile politicians for the sake of cutting money disband the army of the OBCR, which is the only chance to save mankind. Do they have a second Earth to spend on?
- Monsters tear our robots one by one, as soon as they have time to appear in the frame. Is that the coolness they promised us?
- Scientists may have infiltrated the brains of monsters to gain military secrets and strategic advantage years ago, but they are forbidden to do so on the grounds that “you’re like this.”
- The military killed the monsters by the dozens, but for some reason never took their remains into their hands, freely letting Chinese Viagra manufacturers do this. . .
- To them, behind the brains of the monster, not an armed detachment is sent with a mission of national importance, but they dress up one amateur so that he and the bandits himself rammed on the spot, perhaps and burn out.
- The main character is invited to return to piloting the robot, he returns, and he is told "No fight you will not go, sit silently on the ass."
- And of course, all pilots must master the art of fighting on Japanese sticks, according to the level of skill, their candidacy for controlling a robot is approved. . .
A flying monster takes off on its wings into the stratosphere, where air looks more like a vacuum.
- In addition, a creature of this size will not fly anywhere at all – this is the law of the square cube.
- In the cockpit you need to pedal for the robot to go!
- The film argues that it takes two people to pilot the OBCR, because the robot takes half of its brain. Oh, well, this is a very bad technology, if they could not transfer all the tasks to the computer, and give the pilot a joystick.
- At the same time, the characters pilot alone three times - and nothing, order.
- The colonel says, "If I sit in the cockpit, I will die" - sits down, does not die.
- In the portal you can go only with the monster - in the opposite direction the capsule returns itself, everything is fine.
In general, this is a film that constantly breaks its own rules, that is, does not respect itself. The viewer here is simply taken for an idiot and thrown with details one more absurd than the other. There is no scene at all filled with meaning or feelings, it is brilliant hallucinatory nonsense, devoid not only of logic, but even of attempts to construct seriousness. One blogger made a long video to prove that childishness is not a bad thing, so let’s celebrate this battle with monsters like boys. And I would accept it! IF the film wasn't internally contradictory and didn't hold me as a donkey. Even in "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" there are some lore, some rules, which may and may not be, and here alas, just thrash with a big budget.
