August: Osage County, 2013 was directed by John Wells, who is an experienced producer and serial writer, but not a very experienced director. This is a film adaptation of the play by Tracy Letts, who wrote the script himself. The cast, led by Meryl Streep, is great, and that’s the main virtue of the film. The film is a family drama. Before our eyes after the death (suicide) of the head of the family, it finally falls apart, it is not even clear how it was held, albeit nominally, until now, but then all the skeletons fell out of the cabinets, everything turned out to be even worse than it could be imagined. I will not retell the plot, about Meryl Streep I have already mentioned, it is great, but here Julia Roberts in an unusual role, Ewan McGregor recognized with difficulty. In my opinion, the director limped a bit at times, but the plays are not easy to film. After reading about the fact that dubbing is bad, I looked in one voice voice, at least the original voices were heard. I recommend it.
