Denis Viktorovich Dragunsky (born December 15, 1950) is a Russian philologist, political scientist, writer, journalist.
Denis Dragunsky was born on December 15, 1950. The son of the famous children's writer Viktor Yuzefovich Dragunsky, the prototype of the hero of his Deniskin Stories.
In 1973 he graduated from the philological faculty of MSU.
In 1973-1991 he taught Greek at the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

In 1994-1995 he worked as a political analyst and journalist in the Postfactum news agency, in the magazines Century XX and the World, DN, Itogi, New Time; a senior researcher at the United States Institute of Peace.
Since March 1999 – member of the Commission on Ideology of the Federal Political Council of the Union of Right Forces.
Since March 2000 - founder and scientific director (until 2005) of the Institute of the National Project "Social Contract", now - member of the Board of Directors.
In 2002 - Candidate of Philosophy, developed the theory of national identity.
In 2005-2007 he was editor-in-chief of the newspaper “Right Cause”.
Since 2000 - Editor-in-Chief of Cosmopolis magazine.
