Claude Pinoto was born in Boulogne-Billancourt, France, on 25 May 1925. He is a famous French producer, screenwriter and director. Claude Pinoto is the brother of the famous singer and comedy actress Arlette Meri and actor and film director Jacques Pinoto.
Claude began his career as an assistant to directors Claude Lelyuszcz and Henri Verney. Then he co-wrote “The Fraudster” and “The Man I Like” by Lelyush.
He then made short films. And only in 1973 he made his first full-length film called Silent

In 1994, he finished work on the second film “The Slap” with Annie Girardo, Ventura and Isabel Adjani in the lead roles.
