Having received a diploma of higher education, the girl began to think about a professional acting career. At first, she performed with comedy numbers in taverns in Detroit and New York.
In 1965, the audience first saw Lily Tomlin on television, where she performed in the “Merv Griffin Show”. And four years later, she was invited to the series “Sesame Street”. In 1975, the film Nashville was released, where the actress played a small supporting role. But the image of Lini Reese was conveyed so vividly and expressively that Lily noticed and appreciated her play.
