Alexander Mikhailovich Gorlenko since 1969 worked at the film studio "Soyuzmultfilm". As an animated artist, he created more than 60 animated films, worked with such masters as Sergey Yutkevich, Fedor Khitruk, Andrei Khrzhanovsky and many others. On his account such animated films as "The Tale of the Pope and his Balda's Worker", "In the World of Fables", "In the Port", "Icarus and the Sages", "Mayakovsky Laughs", "Caliph Stork" and others. In 1980, he made his debut as a director in the children's film almanac "Merry Carousel" with the plots "About the Turtle" and "What happened to the crocodile". Cartoon "About the turtle" in 1981 at the film festival in Minsk was awarded the prize of the children's jury. Since the mid-1990s, Alexander Gorlenko has been engaged in pedagogical work. At the Moscow Film Lyceum, he taught the basics of animation to schoolchildren, and currently heads the Department of Computer Graphics and Animation at VGIK, and also heads the Anik Studio. In 2000, the director released a full-length animated film "New Bremen".
