The sphere of activity of the Russian scientist Andrei Evgenyevich Petrov (born July 30, 1971) is history. Most of all, he is interested in the evolution of social memory, as well as the specifics of understanding and interpreting the main historical events in different epochs - he has published dozens of articles on this topic in leading domestic scientific publications.
He devoted more than a dozen years to Russian historical science, starting from the moment of graduation from the Moscow Pedagogical State University, where he studied at the history department. He worked in the Russian State Library, where he was an employee of the department of manuscripts, in the period from 1995 to 2001 he worked in the history department of the RGNF, and during this period he carried out a lot of work on the preparation and defense of the candidate, since 2009 he worked in the Russian Academy of Sciences, in 2012 he decided to engage in politics, going to work in the State Duma.
By the nature of his work, Petrov several times organized international conferences, often participates in round tables and various discussions on issues of historical memory.
