Probably, Ville Haapasalo (Ville Haapasalo - eng.) is the most beloved Russian audience Finnish actor. And there are reasons.
He was born on February 28 (an interesting date!) 1972, his homeland is the city of Lahti (Finland), and the childhood of the future Russian-Finnish actor passed in Hollola, where everyone loves sports very much. He was fond of sports and Ville, who loved hockey, football, swimming, skiing, baseball. And he was fond of theater and enjoyed playing in amateur productions.
Ville graduated from high school in 1991, and had no doubts about his future: his purpose is the stage. Therefore, having previously memorized everything that had to be memorized, and having paid the cost of examinations (in the UK this procedure is paid), he was going to go to England. But friends advised to pay attention to Russia - and close, and the theater school is nowhere better. This is how Ville ended up in Leningrad in 1991.
To say that it was very difficult is to say nothing at all. The only thing Ville knew about Russia was that he loved hockey here too. He didn't know the language, he didn't know the Russian mentality. The future star of Russian cinema learned in Russian several works of Russian classics, paid the cost of training, and was enrolled in the St. Petersburg Theater Academy named after Cherkasov. Once in Russia, Ville discovered that he now had to take care of himself, and the streets are very dangerous - only in 1992 he had to survive nine robberies! But six months later, the young man with sin in half began to understand Russian, and the ice of learning slowly but surely moved from its place.
When Ville was in the fourth year, he was seen by director Alexander Rogozhkin, who was looking for artists for his film “Features of the National Hunt”. As a result of their acquaintance, Ville was approved for the role of Finnish hunting historian Raimo. After the release of the film in 1995, Ville became the most famous Finn in Russia. Then he did the pictures.
"Operation Happy New Year" "Features of national fishing",
"Cuckoo" In this film, Ville played the Finnish soldier Veiko and this role brought him the prize "Silver George" at the XXIV Moscow Film Festival. The film was later purchased for screening in the United States. Other works of Ville Haapasalo are roles in TV series and films "The Death of the Empire", "Saboteur",
"Land of Love" "KGB in a tuxedo."
Ville is married to an actress of a Finnish theater, and their family had a daughter and a son. /
