In 1983, Steve Beck joined Robert Abel & Associates, a global leader in video effects and commercials. His work at the company won several professional Clio prizes, and in 1988 he was invited to reorganize the department into the famous Industrial Light & Magic. Soon Beck became one of the most famous directors of commercials, his work is consistently recognized every year as one of the best, and he was awarded more than 50 awards. As an artist-director of video special effects, he worked in the film crews of such famous films as "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade", "The Hunt for Red October", and for the picture "The Abyss" Beck received an Oscar. Steve Beck’s debut as a director was the feature film Thirteen Ghosts (2002), and in 2003 he released the special effects horror film Ghost Ship.
