Damien Audoule was born on March 15, 1968 in Le Puys (Auvergne, France). From the age of 16 he traveled to Europe and Asia, and at the age of 20 he published his first poetry collection and made his first short film, Beauty (1988). Having also staged a number of short films, including "West of the East" (1990), awarded the Special Jury Prize at the Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival, Damien Odul released his first feature-length and debut feature film, "Without Holding", in 2000. He wrote the script in 17 days! At the Venice Film Festival, the film “Without Holding” received a special jury prize and the FIPRESCI prize. In 2003, the director shot his new feature film - "Delusion", in which the main roles were played by Benoit Majimel and Letizia Casta.
