Hawar Rizvi (June 1, 1938 – November 15, 1981) came from a noble family, some of his relatives were famous scientists, poets, and his father served in the Pakistani armed forces. Hawar graduated from the University of Punjab, studying literature, and began his career as a teacher before moving to the banking sector to become a competent bank employee. Negative of any kind of exploitation, he left his career at the bank, determined to serve people differently through his creativity. He also joined the Social Security Department, where he soon became a director.
Khavar Rizvi was active in the political and intellectual movements of his time. He was a member of the famous Progressive Writers Movement of India and Pakistan and opposed all forms of tyranny, dictatorship, enslavement and exploitation. Because of his beliefs, he was persecuted by the authorities, which did not stop the poet in his struggle for freedom of civil rights and freedoms, for equality and against poverty.
He died of a heart attack at the age of 43 and was buried at the turn of thousands.
