Holly grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She graduated with honors from the Tisch School of Art at New York University and spent two years in Brazil working as an assistant in the production of films, including the Oscar-nominated film Zero and a Quarter.
Returning to the United States, she continued to work in film production as well as commercials. In 2004, she decided to return to her youthful ideas that art should reflect politics, and directed her first documentary, “Hummingbird,” about nonprofit organizations in Brazil that work with street children and women exposed to domestic violence, which won several awards at film festivals. In 2005, she released her production project, a melodrama with Catherine Heigl.
"Side effects" There are a few more paintings. In 2008, she created the independent film distribution company Hummingbird Pictures, which is engaged in the distribution of her own films.
