All his life Andrey Shepelev is engaged in music. The beginning of his career was laid by a music studio under the ZhEK, where he came to study guitar at the age of 10.
Andrei Nikolaevich was born in Moscow on June 29, 1958, his childhood and youth passed in Reutov, where he still lives. At school, having mastered the guitar, he played in a jazz studio, then he began to write songs. He received his education at the Moscow Institute of Architecture, graduating in 1981, but decided to connect his fate with music.
Back in the period 1976-1978, he independently mastered the banjo, and then, in 1985, the six-string resonator guitar-good, which is now his main instrument.
During his career, Shepelev played in a variety of Russian bands, including such famous as “Time Machine”, “DDT”, “Bravo”, taking part in the recording of their CDs, as well as albums by such singers and musicians as Zhanna Bichevskaya, Yuri Loza,
Valery Meladze And many others. In the 1990s, he taught the banjo at the Banjo Institute in Nashville, becoming a Russian teacher of American national music to the Americans themselves.
In the 1980s, he founded the country band Corn, which gained great fame in the country, after - the country-rock band GrassMeister.
