Born in Tallinn. In 1959-1966 - pop singer since 1968 - employee of the Cultural Center of Wroclaw (Poland). He was also filmed in Czechoslovakia and other socialist countries. In the early 90s he returned to Estonia and invested in an enterprise engaged in contracts with foreign firms. He suffered a stroke in 1998. Currently, the artistic director of the TOP studio at the Tartu House of Young Technicians.
Laureate of the State Prize of the USSR (1967 for the role of Bronius in the film “Nobody Wanted to Die”).
In recent years Bruno Oya lived in Tartu and died on October 9, 2002.
