ErvandHristoforovich Manarian. Born in Arak, Iran. He studied at Aykazian School and at American and Persian colleges in Tehran. In 1946 he repatriated to Armenia. In 1952 he graduated from the directorial faculty of the Yerevan Theatre Institute. He worked in the operetta theater as a soloist and in the Sundukyan theater as an assistant director. In 1957-1959 he headed the drama theater in Goris. In the 70-80s he led a puppet theater and puppet troupes. In the film he also acts as a screenwriter and director.
