Later, for twenty years he lived and worked in France, leaving service in the French theater, engaged in the creation and production of plays, where he acted as a mime. Later, with these productions, he traveled to more than thirty countries, played on Broadway, performed at major theater festivals. Stein devotes much of his time to teaching, including at the Juilliard School and the Institute of Theatre Arts in Tokyo.
