Alexander Kanerstein is a Soviet composer, teacher, pianist, conductor, author of music for cartoons. Alexander Mikhailovich was born in 1933 on July 13. He studied at the Kiev Conservatory, where in 1955 he completed training in composition, and a year later in piano. After graduating from the conservatory, he also began teaching at the Kiev Music School. Over the years, Kanerstein successfully combined the work of a teacher and composer, composing a number of major works, including an opera and several ballets.
In the 1970s-1980s, he also successfully tried his hand at writing music for cartoons, in particular, for such as “Magic Glasses”, “Dandelion – Fat cheeks”.
