Elizaveta Skvortsova was born on May 7, 1978 in Moscow. Since childhood, she was a creative person and most of all loved to draw. This determined the choice of the future profession. In 2001, she graduated from VGIK, where she studied with teachers A. Gorlenko and V. Kolesnikova in the workshop of computer graphics and animation.
The first fame she brought the thesis
"Wait, maybe" , based on Gorky's story "Girl and Death", which was awarded the Grand Prix at the festival of animated films.
In 2003, the idea of creating “Lullaby World” was born, Skvortsova acted as a curator, director, artist and screenwriter. It all started when Lisa heard an old Jewish lullaby from a friend. She so shocked Elizabeth that she wanted to make an animated film based on this song. And it worked. In it, chickens laid eggs on the moon, big children buoyed little mothers, and African monsters were very cute creatures. The film won the Golden Eagle prize.
Elizaveta Skvortsova does not adhere to any clear traditions in animation. Her work was greatly influenced by the paintings of Marc Chagall and the film directed by Emanuele Luzatti “The Thieving Forty”.
Skvortsova has a son, Mark. With him, they watch a Disney classic, a favorite cartoon "Dumbo" about an elephant whose ears served as wings.
