Ilya Yurievich Stogov was born on December 15, 1970 in the city of Leningrad. He has tried many professions throughout his life. Today he is a cult writer and the golden pen of Russian journalism. For all his activities, he received many awards: “Writer of the Year”, “Person of the Year”, “Man of the Book”. His works have been translated into many languages of the world. Although he worked as a street currency exchanger, editor-in-chief of an erotic magazine, TV presenter and janitor in a Berlin cinema, music columnist and security guard, his intellectual bestsellers significantly changed the face of Russian literature.
Fame to Ilya came in the late nineties of the last century. After defaulting in 1998, Stogov changed the last two letters in his last name and published his first book, Macho Don't Cry. A year later, he was named writer of the year. It was at this time that his first novels “The Emperor’s Skull” and “Kamikaze” began to appear actively. All the other books started disappearing from shelves at an incredible rate, including 13 Months and Masiafucker. Then for a year and a half the publishing house "Amphora" every month begins to release one novel of this amazing author.
