Born in Oregon, Wisconsin. He first took up the pen at the age of five, after watching the film War of the Worlds; three years later he wrote his first story. The first real story was published at the age of 22, and at the age of 25 he published his first novel, Resurrection, Inc. He worked for many years at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. He published ten novels, actively participated in the projects "Star Wars" and "X-Files". Not so long ago he signed a contract for a trilogy-"preface" to the classic novel by F. Herbert "Dune". He got into the Guinness Book of Records as the most prolific autographed author (during a tour of the US cities, Anderson gave a truly incredible number of autographs).
