After graduating from the lyceum, he entered the Faculty of Law in Toulouse to find topics for future detectives. He began writing his first novel, Ants. In 1982 he entered the Higher School of Journalism. He won the Fondation News Award for Best Young Reporter. Since 1983, he tried himself as a freelance journalist in various publications and then became a staff journalist for Nouvel Observateur.
After seven years in the editorial office, he went to the training courses of a cinematic screenwriter. He offered to print a repeatedly revised fantasy novel “Ants” and received the consent of the publishing house. The book received public recognition, but not critical recognition. The continuation of the theme - "Ant Days", released after 2 years, dramatically changed the situation. The book was translated into 33 languages and won the Grand Prix for Elle readers. Success came. Later, the third book of the cycle “Ant Revolution” was published, together these novels made a trilogy. In parallel, Verber publishes a novel about the other world “Tanatonauts”. He addresses mythology, esotericism, a mixture of mathematics and mysticism, physics and metaphysics. Verber’s books are sold in millions of copies at home, translated into dozens of languages of the world. But the author never received recognition from French critics. Constantly changing themes and genres, the author continues to create. Detective "Father of Our Fathers" was released in 2000. Later, his sequel “The Last Secret”, the trilogy “We the Gods”, the play “Our Friends are Men” appear. The author is engaged in various projects. In the creative plans - film adaptation of novels.
