Graduated from GITIS in 1978 - course of A. Goncharov. In 1977-1979 he worked at the Vilnius Youth Theatre, in 1978-1980 at the Kaunas Drama Theatre. In 1980-1991, at the Youth Theatre, he staged performances “The Square” by V. Eliseeva, “Pirosmani, Pirosmani” by V. Korostylev, “Love and Death in Verona” by K. Antanelis and S. Geda, “And a day lasts longer than a century” by C. Aitmatov, “Uncle Vanya” by A. Chekhov, “Nose” by N. Gogol. In 1992-1998, he directed the International Theatre Festival

Since 1998, artistic director of the theater Meno Fortas. Productions: “Macbeth”, “Othello” by W. Shakespeare, “The Seasons of Donelaitis” at the Meno Fortas Theatre, “The Seagull” and “Ivanov” by A. Chekhov in the Teatro di Roma, “The Cherry Orchard” by A. Chekhov (Meno Fortas and the Stanislavsky Foundation), the opera “Macbeth” by J. Verdi at the Komunale Theatre, Florence. Winner of the Golden Mask Award.
