Poet, novelist, essayist. Born in Ivanovo in the family of a guard of the gymnasium. In 1919, after graduating from the gymnasium, she worked under the leadership of A.K. The first and, alas, the only poetic collection “Woman” was published in 1922 in Petrograd with the foreword of A. Lunacharsky, who wrote: “I fully admit the idea that you will become the best Russian poetess for all the time traveled Russian literature.” Of course, A. Lunacharsky is not Y. Eichenwald, R. Jakobson, G. Adamovich and not even K. Chukovsky, but still not Furtseva and Demichev in addition, and one cannot but listen to his assessment. Moreover, the collection was noticed and appreciated by A. Blok, V. Bryusov, B. Pasternak. In the same year he moved to Moscow and worked in the secretariat of A. Lunacharsky. Her poems were included in the anthology “Russian poetry of the twentieth century” published in 1925 under the editorship of I. Yezhov and E. Shamurin. The first time arrested in 1934 with interruptions spent in prison for a total of 22 years (1934-1939, 1947-1956, 1957-1965), in intervals - in exile: a total of 30 years. And all according to the same article 58-10, the ASA is anti-Soviet agitation. She was rehabilitated by the efforts of A. Tvardovsky in 1965. But her poems were not published “for lack of optimism” (from the editorial review).
