C. C. Catch is the stage name of German popular singer Caroline Muller (full name Caroline Gertrud Catherina Müller). Caroline Müller was born in the Dutch town of Oss on July 31, 1964. At the age of 14, Caroline and her family moved to Germany, the homeland of her father. In the early 1980s, Muller became a member of the female band Optimal, which released several singles. At one of the performances the singer
Modern Talkin Dieter Bohlen notices the young performer, after which in 1985 he concludes a contract with her as a producer. At the same time, Mueller acquires his pseudonym.
The 1985 single "I Can Lose My Heart Tonight" and the song "Cause You Are Young" won the hearts of European listeners. A great success is the debut album of C.C. Keich. The disc of the 80s is replenished by another original artist. Her second album, Welcome to the Heartbreak Hotel, became popular. The song, which gave the name of the disc, for two months does not leave the thirty best German charts. At the same time, Carolina is gaining many fans in Spain, Belgium, Scandinavian countries, Eastern Europe and the USSR.
