Nino Katamadze, Georgian singer, was born on August 21, 1972 in the city of Kabuleti in southern Georgia. In 1990 she began her studies at the Z.P. Since 1999 he has been collaborating with the Georgian jazz ensemble Insight, founded in 1996 by Gocha Katcheishvili. Members of the ensemble are also Ucha Gugunava and David Abuladze. Since then, the popularity of the singer is growing rapidly. In 2002, Katamadze (English Nino Katamadze) gives a concert in the UK as part of the Days of Georgia, and in 2005 she tours in the United States, where she is warmly received. In 2009, the singer performs in Azerbaijan, in autumn concerts are held in Moscow. Next year, Katamadze participates in the production in Russia of the opera “Bobble”, authored by Bobby McFerrin.
Nino Katamadze has released several albums. Ordinary Day was released in 2003. Jazz compositions performed by Katamadze sound unusually touching and soulful. Each performance of the singer is filled with unexpected improvisations and is distinguished by a subtle understanding of the audience.
