Led Zeppelin, a British rock band playing hard rock, folk rock, blues rock, heavy metal, was formed in 1968. Thanks to a unique musical style with a characteristic weighted guitar drive, deafening rhythm sections and a rather piercing solo voice of the vocalist of the group, Led Zeppelin became the most influential band in the history of rock music. The band includes Robert Plant, John Bonham, John Paul Jones and Jimmy Page. Led Zeppelin is also the founder of the concept of "album rock", i.e. they were the first to completely abandon the publication of only "singles".
In 1968, through the efforts of Jimmy Page, a new composition of the then disbanded group The Yardbirds was assembled. Musicians need to spend one rehearsal to realize that together they represent something completely new in the music world. Participating in various concert performances, the musicians seem to be preparing for a great creative activity. In the fall of 1968, Train Kept A Rollin', I Can't Quit You Baby and Dazed and Confused were performed at the Copenhagen Music Club. Then came the audience very much liked the music of the band “The New Yardbirds”.
In late 1968, the band changed their name to Led Zeppelin. And soon follows the band’s debut concert in Guildford, followed by a tour in the United States, in particular Los Angeles and San Francisco, where Led Zeppelin makes a real splash. The band's debut album Led Zeppelin was released in 1969 and ranked 10th on Billboard, followed by 6th on the UK Albums Chart. In the same year, the musicians hold 8 gala tours in America and Great Britain. In Carnegie Hall, the musicians play "Whole Lotta Love", "How Many More Times", "Smokestack Lightning".
Soon there are "Stairway to Heaven", "The Ocean", "The Battle of Evermore", "Houses of the Holy" and many other famous hits of the band. The number of fans is steadily growing, released albums deservedly rise to the top of Billboard, there is an album “Through the Out Door”, which two days after the release becomes platinum. But in 1980, John Bonham dies in an accident, and the remaining three come to the conclusion that it is impossible for them to continue as a band. After the collapse of the band, musicians are engaged in solo projects. And only in 2007, yielding to the persistent requests of the company Atlantic Records, the musicians hold several concerts, and the place of the drummer takes the son of John Bonham – Jason.
