"Weezer", a rock band from the United States, performing power pop, pop punk, organized in 1992. The group includes vocalist Rivers Cuomo, solo guitarist and keyboardist Brian Bell, bass guitarist and backing vocalist Scott Schreiner, drummer Patrick Wilson.
The debut performance of the Weezer team took place in 1992 at the opening of the Dogstar collective. The following year, the musicians signed a contract with Geffen Records. In 1994, the debut album Weezer was released, recorded at the New York studio Electric Lady. Soon, the musicians shoot a video for the song “Undone – The Sweater Song”, which hits MTV and becomes a real hit. In 1995, Spike Jonze directed the second video for the song "Buddy Holly". The video brings the director and band Weezer four MTV awards. A month after its release, Weezer is triple platinum. In 1996, the collection Pinkerton appeared, which includes material collected during the previous tour. In 1997, in support of the album, the musicians went on a tour, after which they decided to take a sabbatical and engage in solo projects.
And only in 2000, the participants resumed their joint creative activity with a performance at the Fuji Festival. In 2001, another self-titled album, Weezer (known as The Green Album), was released, which, thanks to the compositions “Island in the Sun” and “Hash Pipe”, once again brought the group popularity. The following year, the band recorded the album "Maladroit", with such hits as "Keep Fishin" and "Dope Nose". Shortly after its release, the musicians begin work on a new album, which was released in 2005 under the name “Make Believe”. In 2007, another hit song "We Are All on Drugs" appeared.
In 2008, they recorded a rather bold experimental compilation “The Red Album”, which uses various musical styles from alt-rock to rap, which is well traced in the tracks “Pork and Beans” and “Troublemaker”.
In spring 2010, the eighth disc of the Weezer team called “Hurley” was released, and in autumn of the same year a record of rare compositions “Death to False Metal” was released.
