As a teenager, Andrey Gubin became interested in sports. He first played chess, later switched to football, and after breaking his leg, decided to try himself in journalism. But this attempt was not successful either. Then came the music in Gubin’s life. Enrolling in the Gnesin music school, and not having studied there even one course, flew for non-attendance of lessons. According to him, he was bored, as the teachers did not allow to reveal his creative individuality.
The first song by Andrei Gubin, written by him in 1986, was “The Tramp Boy”. And already in 1989, the first, not yet professional disc "I am a bum", which included guitar songs by Andrei Gubin.
On the professional stage, Andrei Gubin sang songs in 1994 at the concert "Slavutich-94". In the same year, the singer gets acquainted with Leonid Agutin, who made an arrangement for the song by Andrei Gubin “Boy Tramp”. In 1995, Agutin helped release Gubin’s first professional album of the same name, which brought Andrei popularity and was sold in large circulation.
Andrei’s producer was his father, but due to disagreements about the singer’s work, Andrei himself began to deal with all things.
