Addis Abeba is primarily atmospheric, sunny, kind reggae music. And the beauty of the project is that the guys were able to make friends with the Belarusian reality. In his songs, Dima Ivanov maneuvers between the prose of life and banter, phantasmagoria, a light unobtrusive sura - this is well felt in "You", "Bird Flu", "Chernobyl", "Vanke Skywalker", "Cheburashka".
The musicians took all the most delicious of authentic “black” music – first of all, it is roots-reggae with its distant and desirable Zion, the desire to get into which the lyrics are impregnated, juicy bass Riddim, bongs and virtuoso keys. It was not without interesting experiments with jumping ska, intricate funk, topical raggamafins and mystical dubs, as if accidentally snatched from the chill-outs of European clubs.
And, of course, the lyrics are lace, transparent, melting lighters at concerts. That’s what “Sleep Weight” has become. The philosophical weight is hidden in the songs “Spring”, “The Basement”. A secret mystical message and interline reading implies the airy autumn composition "Grib-trip".
